Modern man is enthralled by the sign of the times

building rocketships and airplanes

to escape the gravitational forces of our planet

and show off the superiority of science.

in ancient times long past, man was much more humble

much more grounded in the earth and still overcame

through sacrifice,

the confinement of the sphere they inhabited

building rocket ships-alike buildings

towers, to reach into the height

pointing toward some undefined,

clearly defined place up above.

like a finger erect to the heavens high

reaching for that which cannot be seen

that, which grants wishes unseen

that, which is with the humble, as it is with the keen,

that which realizes every dream.

their rocketships were built of mortar and brick

of wood and stone, of marble, of granite

and though fiercly anchored in the soil

which no storm could uproot,

which time could barely age,

built by the humble, built by the brave,

this towers and still conquest the space

like a sentinel, silently, it defies the science

and feeds the conscience, the soul, a

and allows - you, me - us all,

to relinquish our so-be-loved control,

and walk free, while firmly anchored,

with liberated hearts, down on our knees.
